Blogs, They Be a'Changin'

Over the last few months, I've had a harder and harder time coming up with things to blog about. I've tried to keep this blog mostly writing-related, but I've never been one to give out advice (what do I know?), so the well ran dry long ago.

2011 is going to be a year fraught with huge changes for me, and I want my blog to encompass more of the elements of my life.

I'm starting nursing school this August, and it seems to be arriving with light speed. I got a packet in the mail yesterday with a checklist of everything I have to complete to cement my spot in the program--including CPR certification, drug test, background check, & a whole slew of immunizations/boosters, among other things. All by May 5th. Although the deadline is daunting, I was relieved to open the packet, because worry wort that I am, I was afraid that I may have somehow checked the "do not want to attend" box on my response to acceptance.

Anyway. I'll still be talking plenty about writing, because I still have big goals for myself this year with my project FOUR, but I'll be interspersing those blogs with other things near and dear to my heart.

So, obviously I have changed the name of my blog, but I will be changing the domain name. It's going to be the much-easier-to-type "http://summerfrey.blogspot.com." I tried changing it already and it disappeared from everywhere, so a little notice first. I'll probably go live on the new domain a week from today.

Woot!

Noted. Of course, the day you change your blog is the day I try to search for it via the blog name. WTH, Summer? Quit trying to make me think I'm losing my mind!

Yay! I'm excited for you and also stressed for you. I hope all goes well. If not, take a deep breath and shoot some zombies.

hey, i like it when you blog about other life stuff. I can only read so much about writing.
Also, Holly from Scribbles and Splashes changed her url in way that fed through to google reader. She has the instructions listed on her blog

I starred it, just in case in the future i want to change mine. Which i may...

I am SO in love with '...and this time concentrate', it makes me sad to see you change it. *pouts*

But, if it makes you happy then I'm happy. :)

I'm freaking out a little for you, because you have to get all those shots. *shudder*

Hugs,
Lola

Change is good. :)

Might want to tweet it up a lot when you do finally change it, though, so we'll be able to find you easily when the time comes.

I'm with you about the advice giving. There are too many out there that have way better credentials, so I don't like to give advice either. Although I won't hesitate to give my opinion LOL.

Yay for an exciting new year :-)

It sounds scary hard to change your blog name—is it easier than it sounds or is this a crazy hard process?

'K. I'm tired, my eyes feel like steel wool (allergies) and when I saw twentysomething, I couldn't for the life of me remember that name! Then I saw your name and tried to remember following another blog of yours. Ha! You pulled a fast one :P

One of the reasons I like to read your blog is the way you write - anything. And it's fun to read about more than writing. Go for it!

And congrats on the packet, it's more concrete that way. We just went through CPR certs, as well as SIDS and first aid. Fun :)

Good luck!

I hear ya, girlfriend. Most of us writers have other writer's following us, and visa versa, so it's refreshing to blog sans writing...about the things that make us who we are. So good on ya! I won't lose you as long you're following me.

I am looking forward to reading about everything :-)

I did check your blog yesterday and discovered it missing and panicked a little. I'm glad it is back today.

I like the new blog name and I'm contemplating a domain name change so you'll have to let me know how the transition fares for you. Good luck with your prep for nursing school!

And we all change sometime. Change is good.
