Miscellany

For the first order of business, thank you to everyone who commented on my entry for DL's High Drama Blogfest. Like most, I suppose, I always feel a bit nervous before putting up a snippet--especially one that's near and dear to my heart. Not so near and dear that I can't mercilessly rip it out during editing, of course, but near and dear enough to go into my "I love you" folder.

Second order of business, welcome to all my new followers. I can't dance and I'm not very funny, but I can carry a tune and make a mean pizza, so hopefully we can all be friends.

Does anyone watch that new(ish) ABC show Rookie Blue? I've been following it since inception, and I just really, really loved this past week's episode (which I just watched last night on Hulu). Talk about some high drama, and some great characterization. And sexual tension. With a bit of payoff. Then even more tension. It was beautiful. My heart raced, I cried when the MC cried, and that sexy scene...HAWT. It's a great show, and I'm thrilled that they've already picked it up for a second season.

Yesterday I helped my husband's office out for freshman move-in day. Seriously, I don't remember being that excited to move in to college. Guess I've always been a jaded ol' bitch.

I think my keyboard or mouse or both is dying. LAME.

I really have nothing to say; I stayed up way too late on Saturday and got up way too early on Sunday, so my sleep schedule is thrown.

Let me compensate with new photos of the kitty duo:

Mack just can't leave me alone, even when I'm busy. He loves his mommy.

Oh, those kiddies are adorable!!!!!

I'm always nervous about the blogfests. I've only participated in one, and have since made huge revisions to it, even though no one told me to.

Those kitties make me want to hug something squishy! Sooo cute!

And I had something else to day, but I forgot in the kitty cuteness. Hm... I'm sure it had something to do with kitties or... Kitty!

Those kitties are so. freaking. cute. It makes me wish I could have one, kinda. Cats are easier than dogs, no training :) Well, mostly no training.

I wanna know your mean pizza recipe. And you ARE funny. I laugh almost every time I stop by here. See that laundry basket war that Palindrome spoke of? lol :)

Mmmm pizza. You can come use my kitchen anytime you'd like. ;)

I'm not watching much TV lately. Too busy with writing, day job, and other stuff. I need more hours in the day!

CUTE kitties!

First, you are totes FUNNY. (new followers...don't believe her lies.)

AND, man do I have kitty envy!!!

Am I the only writer in the world sans cat?

Here's why I don't have a cat: 1) mildly allergic, my eyes itch and water. 2) HATE cat boxes. Ew. 3) We have two dogs, a Westie and a Bichon...they like cats AND their cat book 'treats'. EWWWWWW. I babysat a cat for a friend and found both dogs nomming on cat poop. *shudder* *gag*

I would put a cat door to my basement and keepthe cat box down there...BUT, the bichon is only 8 pounds...I think she'd get through. I'm tempted to check out the smallest size of pet doors...BUT, we'll be moving back down to SC beach house in a couple years, and have no basement. What then?

So there you have my thought process on the cat sitch.

TMI.

*crickets*

Love the painting you're working on. :)

You are loved!
By me.

"I can't dance and I'm not very funny...."

This is all offset for me by the fact that you snark wonderfully and you have a sick and twisted mind. The pizza thing doesn't hurt either.

Those kittens are SO cute! It would be awesome for our little one to have a friend to play with, but Hubby nearly vetoed one cat, so two...not gonna happen!

I don't watch Rookie Blues, but I'll look for it :)

Have a great evening!

Awww the kitty pictures are adorable!

I thought the commercials for Rookie Blue looked good, but the show didn't get such good reviews (at least initially), so I was reluctant to watch it. But I might have to give it a chance.
