Progress Report

This has been a fairly productive week for me.

1) Planted 4 more containers, 2 tomatoes, 2 decorative. (but then you already knew that, eh?)

2) Started reading A Place to Come To by Robert Penn Warren.

3) Got a gym membership and met with a personal trainer to fashion a workout plan. Yay! I do a lot of good thinking while sweating.

4) Made delicious salsa cruda with avocado.

5) Sent our 2nd car to hubby's uncle's used car lot, where it will hopefully sell very soon. We are functioning as a one-car household right now. If the Saturn sells, then we'll be able to pay off the remainder of the PT Cruiser! Yay!

6) What's that? How's Saving Me going? Ohhhh....that's what this is supposed to be about. :-)
I hit 40k last night. I'm in an interesting place, that middle ground that's really difficult to pull through. I know where my story is going, but filling in all the bits and pieces is proving to be a challenge. Also, I just broke my MC's nose and cheekbone, which was unplanned, but could be interesting...I also had a really good, uplifting chat with one of my best friends, who's also a writer. He's coming to visit in July, so if I don't make my June 21 finish goal, then I'm definitely aiming for July 15.

Overall, a good week, quite productive and enjoyable. I'm also half-way through LOST season 3; we'll no doubt finish it over Memorial Day weekend. :-)

To my fellow Americans, have a safe and fun holiday weekend! To the non-Americans: same. But without the holiday part. :-)

Aw, Jabba the Catt. I've hit that middle ground, too. I know what needs to happen, but I'm having butt-in-chair issues.

My brain shuts down when I sweat. At the gym as well!

The cat picture is great.

Sweating doesn't do it for me. Walking's good though. And I can write a lot after yoga, which means I should do more but I'm also really lazy. :P

Have a great weekend!! I'm off for 4 days so I'll see you on Wednesday!!

Yeah, ideas come to me while I'm sweating, too. No wonder I love to exercise. :D

Is this a new layout or have I been somehow missing your blog lately?

Great updates BTW, thanks for sharing.

OMG Jabba the Catt, that was hilarious Christi, thanks!

I like how you didn't plan to break your MC's nose and cheekbone. I love when stuff like that happens when I'm writing. Sometimes big and dramatic things come out of nowhere, unplanned, and it makes the story that much more interesting. Good luck with your writing goals!

The middle part of the book is the hardest place to be! I lingered in the middle of my book for months. I'm interested to see what you think about Lost!

Yum, salsa!

I'm with Aubrie - the middle is so hard. The hardest place! Push through and keep going. And have a great weekend!

Yay for a productive week!

ALSO I feel I should say you may or may not have won something from me today which hopefully makes this week even better :)

Good luck with your novel and the gym! I know how hard that middle part is - it's the worst - but you'll get through it! :) You're almost past the rough stuff and into the beginning of the end.

LOVE the cat.

Gee, could we trade places? I'm getting up to the halfway point but not there yet. I was supposed to start the garden last month and haven't done anything yet. I guess Monster Baby isn't going to get her watermelon after all.

Have a great weekend.

You have been busy. I was busy this weekend working on our flower bed. I never want to do that again. But next weekend will be the fun part... planting the actual flowers. I can't wait. I just hope it isn't 100 outside again next weekend. :(

Happy Memorial Day!

Love those times when we feel like we're on top of everything. And who doesn't love a fat cat?

Postman said...

Could use a cookie myself. Don't them productive weeks feel grand? I love 'em. Wish I had 'em more often...

I think one of the best things about this blog - for there are several - is the quote at the top of the page. Who the heck quotes AC/DC with a lovely floral backdrop? How cool is that?
