January 1st will mark the 2-year anniversary of this blog. Of course, things are much cooled down these days compared to when I (and many others) got going in early '10, but that's okay. Blog life has cooled down while my personal life has heated way, way up. I suppose that's the best way for things to be, right?
So, here's the obligatory "resolution" post.
Resolutions/Goals for 2012
- Keep my 4.0 in nursing school.
- Run a 5k.
- Be able to do 5 real push-ups.
- Query a novel.
- Cultivate a good studying/writing/reading schedule and stick with it.
- Try to write at least twice a week during the semester.
- Read before going to sleep at night.
- Maybe break my coffee habit. (Maybe.)
Those are all very do-able, and most are necessary. A few years running now I've managed to achieve all my goals, so I'd like to keep it up!
Whatever your wishes/resolutions/goals are for the new year, I hope you find much success and happiness while you're having at it.
See you in 2012!
Hubby got me a split rail fence for Christmas! How romantic! But really, I wanted one! Our front yard will soon look totally adorable! |

NO!! Not the coffee!! LOL!
Aww but seriously - yay for achieving your goals and setting yourself doable ones for 2012! All the best with these!
Love your fence!! I never knew there were different types of fencing so there you go!
Happy 2012! take care
x
Stay with the coffee!! Great goals, too. You can do it!
Give up the coffee! You can do it.
Five real pushups? As opposed to fake ones?
Yay for split rail fences!! We have them in our front yards (we're a corner house, so have three yards) though we had to take out the split rail in the backyard and replace with a picket fence to keep the dogs in.
Also, i'm totally excited about #4 on your list. I will also be querying this year. 2 novels. It's going to be awesome.
I'll be doing my goals list next week or the week after.
As i told Lola, 2012 is going to rock. I feel it in my bones.
Nice pic of you guys, and I love the fence! You'll nail these goals. No sweat. Though, I wish you'd reconsider breaking the coffee habit. It's so nice to have coffee with you. Unless you switch to tea. That, I can handle. Although, if it's the caffeine you're trying to get away from...you may as well stick to coffee. :)
Worthy resolutions, all! Well, except for the coffee one. That's just crazy talk. ;)
Happy New Year from a new follower who has the same trouble doing "real pushups". Good luck with your writing, nursing school (awesome GPA btw) and your goals for 2012
