I Like The Way You Do That Right Thurr

An innocent Facebook post implanted a bunch of early '00's rap songs into my head last night. I dropped it like it's hot and shook my tailfeather until the novelty wore off and I remembered I wasn't 17 anymore.

(This is the link, but be warned that it's irreverent. Click at your own risk. )

Moving along, I have good news! Despite our rough start, husband and I are finally under contract on a house! It has doors and rooms and a yard and everything. We are all like :D around here.

Especially this guy:

This is Monty, a stray kitty that decided to adopt us about a week ago. I called the vet on his rabies tag, but they never got back in touch with me, so I take it to mean either they can't be bothered to contact his owners, or his owners just don't care. He's unneutered, so before we officially add him to the clan, I'm going to take him to the vet to get tested and snipped, and then he's going to be the number one vole killer at the new house.

I mocked up a blog/website for my university's fine arts & literary magazine as my end-of-semester project. Give it a look and tell me what you think, eh? Mountain Laurels

I think I strained my Achilles tendon or something running the other day. I stumbled and felt pain, finished my run, and have been limping with increasing pain. Not cool, leg. Not cool.

Happy Hump Day! Hump your neighbor.
Or not. Use your discretion.

Wow, drop it like it's hot. That's older than the song that popped in my head the other day. Hell Yeah by Giniuwine...it's the REMIX!!
chitty chitty bang bang boom like kapow!!

Also, YAY!!! You got a house!!

That cat is adorable. I love his coloring.

The Moutain Laurels blog is purty. My only peeve (and it's only because I have dumb old eyes) the white on black. But again, I have dumb old eyes. DAMN MY EYES!! (too late)

Running is for suckers. ;) Unless of course your running from or after zombs.

Now it's time for me to eat my cheesy taters and drink ma' tea.

I'm old. Older than Hannah I bet. So yeah, the black and white hurts my crappy eyes too. It's really pretty tho. Love both photos on the homepage.

Monty is so cute!

Baby B brought his class hamster around a couple weekends ago. Thought the dogs would scare him to death, but he would get in his little ball and chase them around. Heh.

Hooray for the house contract! Congrats! And on your new kitty addition, too. :)

The website you mocked up is great -- eye-catching and easy to navigate. I like it.

Congrats on the house and being adopted by Monty... Or was it you adopting Monty? Anyway, I showed the photo of Monty to my cat "Jones" and he approved, so I think you'll be fine with the new addition to your clan. ;)

Awwwww, for adopting the kitty, he's cute!

Dang! I really hope you heal quickly. I have nerve damage from an bike wreck (very comical) and it gives me grief all the time.

I clicked onto the new blog...love the baby birds!!!

House contracts require celebration. Generally in the form of beer. I'll get right on that for you.

:D

Oh, sorry to hear about the leg pain. But congrats on the house contract! That's so exciting. We're thinking about building a new home in the coming year.

Hope you feel better soon!

Congrats on the house! That's such a wonderful feeling! Not a wonderful feeling is the achilles thing. I had the same pain a couple months ago...worse at night. I suggest ice, ice, ice and don't run for awhile. I swam instead. Also gentle, slow stretching helps and ibupro.

Sorry about your archilles. That's one of my biggest fears, especially of it going ping and needed surgery to repair it. I've been close a few times to injurying mine.

Cute kitty. He's lucky to have found you and the clan.

Love the new look btw. :D

Found my way over here via Sophia's award-giving linkage. :)

Congrats on the house and the kitty! He's adorbs. My grandma adopted a stray cat too by deciding to feed her. So she waits around the door everyday around dinner time.

Also, early 00s / late 90s music ftw!
