You Show Me Yours, I'll Show You Mine!

Got your attention now? Good.

A lot of you participated in National Novel Writing Month this year. Didn't you? Didn't you? That's right, nerds. Raise your hands. (I raised mine too, don't worry.)

Okay, good.
This is for you whether you won or not.

Two of my favorite bloggers approached me about co-hosting this little shendig, so please give all accolades to Sarah (Falen) Ahiers and Hannah Kincade.

With our powers combined, we are pleased to bring you the "Show Me Yours" Blogfest!

The point of this blogfest is to share an excerpt of your NaNoWriMo novel. All we ask is that you keep it around 500 words in order for us to read as many as possible.

Since the date is January 3rd, 2011, this will give you time to choose a scene and edit it, revise it, change it...whatever.

Feel free to give us a little background about your story or at the very least a title and a genre. That always helps, right?

So if you were a 2010 Wrimo, now's the chance to show us your skillz...or, yanno, your suck. Either one.

We will be attempting to share the same link widget, but if it doesn't work, the master will be on Hannah's blog.

Feel free to take the badge and spread the word, but make sure you link it back to either this, Sarah, or Hannah's post so everyone can get in on the diaper-peeking fun.

I'm going to be able to recite this post soon ;) I'll even think of coming out of blogfest retirement for it. Maybe.

Surely by January 3, I will be able to find 500 words that don't need to be deleted. I'm in!

Sounds like fun! Fortunately, I didn't participate in NaNo, so I'll get to play voyeur that day. ;)

Oh, goodness what awful scene should I share? LOL, thanks for some incentive to look back over that ms before January. Now to post this somewhere so I don't forget!

I don't like posting my writing...and my nano-WiP is a hot mess. So, me thinks I shall pass.
But I look forward to reading everyone's excerpts. :)

Great idea for a fest. I think I can pull 500 words out of the NaNo novel.

This is like nothing but groovy. I've no idea what I'm going to post yet, but I'll dig up something.

Thanks for doing the hosting!

I like the sound of this; I'll cobble together something from my little pile of fail, hehe.

A great idea! It'll spur me to edit some, too, and come closer and closer to the finish line...

I am definitely in! It'll be a nice break from my current projects, and I can't wait to read everyone else's NaNo excerpts.

Woot! This goes nicely with my New Year's Revision Blog Party on the 1st. I'll revise and post that excerpt for this party! It will be so fun to read what everyone else comes up with!

Thanks for hosting. This is a great idea!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
