Day 9

I started the day off with some mega procrastination--something about my office just wasn't right. So after 2 hours, new blackout curtains, and some organizational bins for the random crap bits lying about, my mojo finally settled in.

I also drew two new maps, which is always exciting. This time I got to make up 5 new planets in the solar system (Gorgon, Cereste, Vesta, Minerva, Auster), as well as name a bunch of space stations and colonies. Fun times!

Total wordcount: 16, 154

PS: Please let me know if anyone has trouble reading with this new background/layout. Thanks.

I can read it, but I think my eyes would get tired if it were a long post. You can't go by me, though--my vision sucks. I'd be lost without my progressives. ;)

Love your planet names. Have fun building your universe!

New names are awesome. Keep up the great work. I am a big fan of blackout curtains.

pshaa, no one wants to live on Gorgon. It's a dump.
Auster, all the way

Your screen background is nice-because it's B&W it doesn't pop too much. As far as procrastination issues, I'm doing Nano but I must have my puttering time from 9 to 11 noon. My best writing time is from 2 to 6 and I cannot seem to change that, even with Nano pressure.

So cool that you get to draw maps and make up new planets! Sounds like your WiP is going well!

Maps sound exciting! I'd love to do that!

I did find reading quite hard. I always strain with white type on black backgrounds, but maybe that's just me.

I'm feeling a visit to Auster, too. Seems like a good place to stir up some trouble.

I'm okay with the background. Change away, I say! And re: organizing the workspace: If there were enough matching, color coordinated storage containers in the world, my life would be perfect.

Yeay for your progress!
And the whole time I was trying to read I kept getting distracted by how beautiful that background is! Love it!

Everyone complains about white text, but I can read it. And I won't be able to attack my project until tonight.

Love the background and the fact that I am not the only one that had a major procrastination issue this morning! WHY did I feel the need to clean instead of write??? Since when?? *sigh*

Woot! You go girl. I'm coming up behind you, and I like the new layout.

I love the idea of making up new planets! Totally not my genre, but so interesting to read about anyway. Good luck with your MS!
