Day 11

After my triumphant 4k+ day Wednesday, I didn't feel quite the need to bust out the words yesterday, so I settled for an easy 1500. I wrote a few this morning, but my goal was to get myself ahead enough to be able to take off until Sunday. Goal achieved.

Yes, I'm spending today and tomorrow with my mother-in-law again. What can I say? We like to shop. Also, we're picking up our new (to us) car tomorrow. Yay!

----

I've been going back and forth on my listening stations for this NaNo round. Last year, I was strictly the Hans Zimmer/Howard Shore Pandora station (which is awesome), but this year I felt like I needed more than instruments. I tried a bunch of different stations, but nothing really fit.

So, in a fit of desperation, I turned to my A Perfect Circle station.

*DING DING DING*

We have a winner. As with any Pandora station, of course, it takes some dedicated tweaking to get the flow right, but I'm getting there. It's working so well, in fact, that I may just have to thank Maynard Keenan in my foreward (you know, if the book ever made it to light of day). It's a big Tool, Puscifier, A Perfect Circle merry-go-round, with some NIN and Chevelle thrown in for giggles.

What's your Nano music this year? Anything special? Or still struggling to find the "write" mix? (grooooannnnnn)

I'll add in a sweet picture of the terror twins to throw you off the memory of that bad pun...

have you been hitting up Counting Bodies Like Sheep? Because that is my all time favorite Perfect Circle song.
It's like the best, creepiest lullaby EVAH!

Oooh, I may have to try that station. I've been very mellow with this WiP--Joshua Radin and the like--but it's time to kick it up a notch :) Good luck with the writing!

You already know I'm having fits *twitch* trying to find the right music/Pandora station/theme music for this WiP....and things haven't improved. *sigh* *twitch*

Your kittens cuddle so cute!

I picked my bitty kitty up this morning from the vet...and my heart broke to even look at her. *sobs* I made her a promise to never take her to that evil place (vet) ever again unless her life is at stake. Her belly is shaved, her eyes are all ointmented/greasy, her format arm is shaved (IV), her front paws hurt.
I feel like the worst mommy ever.

Have fun with your MIL this weekend. :)

Congrats on the car.

Glad you won't be writing...now I can catch up! ;)

Love always,
Glowla

Doing good with the word count!
My playlist has Scar Symmetry and the new James LaBrie, with an assortment of other bands.

The Terror Twins, LOL!

Since I had to grab my nano story off my mental shelf, I had no idea what music would work. Found out, my mc likes chant music! Weird!

It's funny you call your cats the Terror Twins - mine are the Terrible Trio. :-)

This year's music is my old stand-by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. My hubby gave me their newest CD Night Castle for Christmas and I alternate that with Beethoven's Last Night.

Awww - the "Terror Twins" are divine. Perhaps only because they are sleeping... With a nickname like that - I'm not sure how they are when awake...

Congrats on getting your word-count out of the way so you can have some shopping fun!

Perfect Circle and Tool make for an amazing playlist. I'd put Pink Floyd into my mix if only it didn't make me sleepy :P

By dar the best artist to help me write, work or anything productive is Iron Maiden. For inspiration, I usually listen to power metal like Kamelot or Falconer :)
